Man Puts Out Fire With Vacuum, It's Awesome (VIDEO)

It might come as a surprise, but it turns out flames can't beat a vacuum in a head-to-head battle.

One brave stupid man decided to put his household appliance to the test by attempting to suck up a fire that looks like it's been ignited on purpose, and the blaze puts up a good fight. Inexplicably, though, the Oreck comes out victorious in the end.

We don't recommend you try this experiment -- or any variation of it -- at home, but it's entertaining to watch from the safety of your desk.

Take a look for yourself.

Alpaca Loves Kitten: Cute/Ridiculous Animal Thing Of The Day (VIDEO)

Lacey the alpaca is friends with all of the adult cats on her farm, so it makes sense that she'd get excited upon seeing her first kitten. Whether or not the kitten wants to snuggle with her is another story.

Watch a fresh-out-of-her-first-haircut Lacey try (and sort of succeed) to nuzzle a very confused kitten below. And be sure to check out her awesome manicure.

Bulldog Gets Licked By NYPD Horse: Cute Animal Thing Of The Day (VIDEO)

If you're an NYPD horse, you spend a lot of your day around people. And they may be cool or whatever, but they're not exactly cute. So when you come across a dog -- a baby-sized one -- and he lets you give him kisses, you're gonna go to town.

That's exactly what happens in this video. And at first the dog seems like he might not be too into it, but just watch his little face once it's time to go. Clearly he's made a new best friend. Who says New Yorkers aren't friendly?

Sleepy Kitten Wakes Up: Cute Animal Thing Of The Day (VIDEO)

Some days we are all this cat.

And we don't mean that in the, "Milk belly, asleep on a teddy bear," sense.

We mean that sometimes we're all a little reluctant to wake up. We just aren't as cute about it, so our moms aren't people standing by with cameras while hundreds of thousands of people on the Internet sit with fingers poised, ready to comment, "D'aww," whenever it happens.

Cat Vs. Dog Duel (VIDEO)

In this video, two old foes meet up for one final duel on the lawn.

This dog and cat know each other well -- and they've obviously memorized each other's every move -- but only one will reign victorious and be crowned champion of the yard.

Take Buzzfeed's advice and watch this video while listening to the song from "The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly." It really kicks it up a notch.

Why can't these longtime enemies just get along, like these guys?

Endangered Big Cats Get Playful With Big Toys (VIDEO)

Big cats deserve big toys.

Forget the fancy iPad apps for cats, these big cats at Florida's Big Cat Rescue sanctuary are happy just playing with some oversized rubber tires.

The cats often seem to be as cheeky and playful as domestic cats. In June, some cuddly lions were caught on camera giving their caregivers hugs and kisses.

Some are a bit more mischievous, as Roger and Pat de la Harpe can attest -- a lion took off with their camera while they were shooting an upcoming piece on lions in South Africa.

Without some serious protection, these big kitties may not be around for much longer, as the mountain lion faces many different threats. By the 20th century, the lions, who were once found across the U.S., were wiped out from the Midwest and Eastern U.S., according to National Geographic.

Leopards are also threatened, and the Amur leopard is one of the most endangered big cats in the world, with only about 35 Amur leopards left in the wild, according to amur-leopard.org.

The Sumatran Tiger also remains critically endangered, even though the animal is protected by law in Indonesia. Despite their efforts, there is still a market for tiger parts and products, according to worldwildlife.org. The number of tigers is at an all-time low, with as little as 3,700 tigers in existence.

The South China Tiger is thought to be functionally extinct, with 47 known animals living in zoos in China.

Giant Panda Celebrates Second Birthday At San Diego Zoo (VIDEO)

Giant pandas may be endangered in the wild, but this guy's only concern was having too much fun with his birthday cake.

Yun Zi is a giant panda at the San Diego Zoo who celebrated his second birthday in early August. Zookeepers gave him a special cake made out of ice with some of his favorite fruits and vegetables.

According to SanDiego.com, the San Diego Zoo is “one of only four zoos in the United States which house and displays giant pandas and is the most successful program with regards to panda reproduction.”

The Zoo has bred four other panda cubs, which have all been sent to China as part of a twelve year research loan program that took “years of prolonged negotiations and mountains of paperwork” to set up.

Giant pandas, which are native to China, are threatened with extinction. The Associated Press explains that this is due to a loss of habitat, poaching and poor breeding abilities. AFP reports that giant pandas may become extinct in two or three generations.

The National Zoo in Washington, D.C. has an adult female giant panda, but she has failed for five years in a row to give the zoo a cub.

'Thriller' Cat Makes Dramatic Exit, Again (VIDEO)

It seems the "Thriller" pose is one position that comes naturally to cats.

Just weeks after the original garnered millions of views on YouTube, a new cat has emerged to show off its hind leg walking skills. Again, it's almost as creepy as it is hilarious.

So what's causing these cats to strike an unusual pose? Well the "Hunchcat of Notre Dame" seems downright scared, but this white knight seems a bit angry. Heck, we wouldn't pick a fight with him.
