Watch Suspect Removes Handcuffs, Escapes From Locked Police Car (Video)

Raw video of a Detroit-area man removing handcuffs and escaping from the backseat of a police car in July has been released. The footage from the patrol car's security camera shows how the suspect pulled off the Houdini-like breakout and lead authorities on a three-hour chase that used K-9s and a helicopter to recapture him, the Detroit Free Press reports.

In the video, the suspect, Quincy Alexander, 26, is seen in the back of a locked West Bloomfield Township, Mich. police cruiser using his mouth to free his shackled right hand from the cuffs. Over the next several minutes, advertisements for Panera and Wells Fargo play in the background while Alexander looks around, surveying the scene for an opportune time to make a run for it.

Finally, as Bruno Mars' "The Lazy Song" (irony, anyone?) plays, Alexander -- who station WDIV-4 said had been arrested for alleged heroin possession and attacking a woman with a knife -- escapes out of the cruiser's passenger side window.

According to WDIV-4, which has additional video footage, the suspect was able to pull herion from his pocket before he freed his hands.

HIs freedom was short lived. Police arrested him three hours later, according to the Free Press.

The officer that lost Alexander was initially suspended for three days, because of the embarrassing mistake, Patch reported. But The West Bloomfield Township supervisor later reduced the officer's punishment to a written notice, an act that sparked another controversy.

Police Investigate Triple Slaying in Banning; 2-year-old Bound and Gagged

Police were investigating the deaths of three people Tuesday in an apparent triple killing in Banning.

Two women and a man were reported deceased inside a ground-floor living area of a two-story home at 12:20 p.m., Banning police Chief Leonard Purvis said at the scene on Phillips Avenue, just south of Williams Street.

Banning stands about 80 miles east of Los Angeles in the San Gorgonio Pass.

There was blood in the crime scene, and a 2-year-old boy was believed missing, Purvis said. He was located bound and gagged three hours later in a room in the same house, Purvis said.

"We were looking for him, and a vehicle was reported leaving the scene," Purvis said. "We feared he'd been abducted. We found him later in a room next to the bathroom."

The boy cried as law enforcement personnel and paramedics placed him on a wheeled gurney for ambulance transport.

Detectives were treating all three deaths as homicides, though a murder-suicide scenario had not been ruled out.

Officer Caught In Surveillance Photo Having Sex On Car (Video)

A photo of what appears to be a police officer having sex with a woman on the hood of a car has caused an uproar in New Mexico.

The Huffington Post could not confirm independently that the man in question is a law enforcement officer, but Albuquerque, N.M. TV station KOB 4 and the Albuquerque Journal both identify the man as a uniformed officer.

The Santa Fe Sheriff's office released pictures to KOB in response to a public records request. The photos were taken from security footage at the Santa Fe Canyon Ranch.

Santa Fe County Sheriff Robert Garcia told the Journal that the photos were taken by a camera set up to catch graffiti taggers or other crimes.

An email and phone call to the New Mexico State Police were not immediately returned to HuffPost.

Other uniformed policeman have been caught having sex on the job. Earlier this month, a Louisiana state public safety officer was suspended for reportedly having sex in his patrol car.

In January, a veteran officer resigned after he allegedly did the deed in his cruiser.

New Mexico State Police have not said whether the man pictured on the hood of the car will face any disciplinary measures, according to the Journal.
